MintEdge Editorial Policy
How we prepare finance guides
MintEdge publishes general educational content to help readers understand common personal-finance topics. We do not present our guides as personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and readers should consult a qualified professional for decisions specific to their circumstances.
Our approach to sourcing
We aim to support factual, regulatory, and consumer-finance statements with primary or authoritative public sources. Depending on the topic, these may include U.S. government agencies, tax authorities, consumer-protection bodies, and established non-profit educational resources. Each guide includes a linked reading list so readers can check the source material directly.
Review and updates
Guides are reviewed for clarity, internal consistency, and whether the linked sources still support the statements made. When laws, agency guidance, or market conditions change, we update relevant material and show the publication and update dates on the article. A date does not guarantee that a guide covers every change or applies to every reader.
Independence and advertising
MintEdge is supported by display advertising. Advertisers do not pay for, select, or approve the topics or conclusions of our guides. We do not publish paid endorsements as editorial guides. If this practice changes for a particular page, the relationship will be disclosed clearly on that page.
What readers should expect
- Plain-language explanations of a topic, including important limitations and trade-offs.
- Links to public sources where readers can verify key claims and learn more.
- Clear separation between general education and advice that requires an individual assessment.
- A way to report a correction or question through our contact page.
